Amerex class K Wet Chemical fire extinguishers are specially designed to protect against class K hazards involving cooking oils. These units are also rated for use on class A Ordinary combustibles, such as those found in wood or mesquite charcoal charbroilers. The units contain a potassium acetate based, low ph liquid chemical agent, primarily for use in commercial kitchen settings and are safe to use in the presence of a U/L 300 compliant, automatic wet chemical suppression system.
