Amerex Halon 1211 fire extinguishers are specially designed to protect against fires involving sensitive and expensive electronic equipment where an industrial clean agent is desired. This product, while still available for reuse in new units, may not contain a valid U/L listing, and is currently regulated and controlled as an ozone depleting product by the Global Community and the US Federal government under the Montreal Protocol Act. However it remains a valuable and effective firefighting tool under the right circumstances, and is expected to remain so in the currently foreseeable future until the product is eventually and finally phased out.
