Amerex Carbon Dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishers are specially designed to protect against class B & C hazards where a clean agent is desired. These units are best used in minimal wind conditions when an extra cooling effect is acceptable or wanted. Carbon dioxide is stored at a relatively high pressure (1800 -2100 p.s.i.), produces a snow like vapor that is naturally very cold, may generate a static electric charge when being discharged and may cause frost bite if it comes into contact with the skin.
